We are a friendly society putting on plays twice a year (March/April and November). We were set-up in 1947. If you think you would like to join us either as an acting member, or helping behind the scenes please contact us, we would love to chat to you and tell you more. We help to promote theatre. We are open to members from age 14 on but we are principally an adult society.
Our next production - "Twist" by Miles Tredinnick - a Comedy Thriller. 28th April to 2nd May 2026. This is an hilarious spoof, nobody is what they seem, a corkscrew ride of suspense and excitement. It's a great hobby working together for a few weeks twice a year, with social events (and the occasional visit to the pub after rehearsal/set building!) to enjoy.
With the benefit of generous donations from supporters we have been able to install new stage lighting and sound equipment which was used for the first time for "A Lady in the Van" in November 2019. We are looking for a storage area reasonably near to where we perform - but cannot afford to rent (unless its peppercorn + tickets to the plays). If you can help please be in touch.
