Calibre Audio is a national charity providing a collection of over 17,500 audiobooks for anyone who finds it difficult to read print. Membership is completely free of charge for children and young adults (0-25 years) with SEND.
We believe that everyone deserves to enjoy a good book, but we know not everyone enjoys reading, and our audiobook services make books accessible to all.
As a Calibre Audio member you'll have:
Access to over 17,500 books in 70 categories, including over 3,000 children’s titles
New titles added every week
Titles include the classics to the latest bestsellers and books recorded by our volunteer narrators that are not available elsewhere in audio
A choice of ways to listen: streaming, download or USB memory stick
Regular newsletters, reading suggestions, podcasts and other audio content
Dedicated membership services team to help you get the most out of your membership
We support anyone who is unable to see, read, manipulate or comprehend printed text due to difficulty or inability. This can include:
A learning difference, such as dyslexia
A neurodivergent condition like Autism or ADHD
A brain injury or cognitive impairment such as head trauma or stroke
A vision impairment or blindness
