Widows Oil is a support group just for widows. Through befriending, talking and sharing, our aim is to support widows emotionally and practically.
Widowhood is an incredibly painful time in a woman's life. We recognise reaching out for support or just finding someone to talk to, can be both difficult and overwhelming. Widows Oil was birthed out of a personal response to widowhood. Through experiencing the pain of widowhood and desiring to provide a safe place where widows can meet together Widows Oil was developed as a means of providing that important safe space. All of the women attending the group are widows, experiencing first hand the complexities of adjusting to life without their partner, whilst also acknowledging that their life still does go on.

Widows Oil meets throughout the year every two weeks.
Refreshments are provided.

Widows Oil - a support group for widows.
All widows are welcome, whether you have been widowed for a few weeks, months or many years.
We are a friendly, informal group, we understand that every widow is different and navigates their own unique journey. Whilst there is never any pressure to share your story, we have created a nurturing and understanding atmosphere where you will feel supported.
Come along and join us, a warm welcome and a cuppa awaits.
We meet alternate Monday afternoons throughout the year except for bank holidays.
