We are recruiting Volunteer Police Cadet Leaders to support the growth and development of our Cadets. West Midlands Police Cadets are aged between 13-17 years old and come from a variety of different backgrounds, lifestyles, religions and cultures. The Cadet Scheme provides these young people with opportunities to develop their skills, better their understanding of Policing and become Active Citizens within their communities, alongside attending and supporting local events.

Volunteer Cadet Leaders are key to the success of the scheme. As a Cadet Leader, you will be a positive influence in the lives of young people.

Becoming a Cadet Leader is a great way to:

  • Have fun, help others and make new friends.

  • Engage and inspire young people in the community to make a difference.

  • Be empowered and feel confident.

  • Learn and develop new and existing skills.

  • Access free learning and training

You must be 18 years old or over to apply. Flexible volunteering can be considered and we will provide you with free training, uniform and support. As we work closely with young people we would need to complete a full enhanced disclosure (at no cost to you) and undertake Police vetting. If you would like to know more about this opportunity, please email: cadets@westmidlands.police.uk
