Vision Support Services offer support to people living with sight loss. Our rehabilitation workers are trained to provide support to help you live independently. We can offer advice and support at home about such things as:

  • lighting levels,
  • different types of magnification,
  • safe pouring and cooking techniques,
  • mobility getting around safely.

Following assessment some aids may be provided on loan or through the assistance of a direct payment.

This service is available to all Dudley residents with poor vision.  You do not need to be registered as Sight Impaired or Severely sight impaired to access our service.

Eligibility Notes:

Anyone can be seen by vision support as long as they have seen an optician in the last 2 years.

Referral Notes:

If you require a visit from the Vision Support Services then telephone Access Team on the telephone number given and they will take brief details and pass referral to the team.   A team member will then contact you to gain further information and arrange to visit if needed.
