We are a charity that supports people who need help to understand their tax and to untangle the tax problems. We help people who are unable to access professional tax advice elsewhere. We support people on low incomes or who have difficult personal circumstances or hardships that make it difficult to get the help they need.

Through our helpline, we listen, understand and provide a solution tailored to your circumstances. We help with issues like tax returns, appeals, tax debt and unexpected letters from HMRC. No matter how big or small the issues are, our approach is the same for everyone.

Please check our website for more details and to see if you might qualify for our help.

Please note: TaxAid does not advise on any DWP benefits (including Tax Credits), council tax, or Limited Companies. TaxAid does not provide tax planning advice, but our advisers can provide guidance on making good tax decisions.

Our service is nationwide. You can receive tax support by phoning our helpline, we are open Monday-Friday from 9.00am-5.00pm except for bank holidays. You can also use the contact form on our website, though please note it can take up to 14 working days to get a response, for urgent enquiries please use our helpline.
