Sit-down Stand Up! - My Solo Comedy Show! (Shadow Liptrot)
5 September 2026. ‘It’s finally happening! I’m launching my stand up career with my own solo show! With a twist…I’m sitting down!’
Inspired by the likes of Dave Allen, Ricky Gervais and Peter Kay, this observational comedy show jaunts between quiet armchair stories about some crazy interactions with family and friends, to animated rants about the stupidity of society. It’s wild and whacky, contemplative and warm. Here we see a real, working class person sat on a stage telling stories about a career in the arts and about coming to terms with gender and identity.
‘If you wanna write comedy, all you have to do is look around you – and you can either burst into tears or highlight how darkly hilarious it all is. I prefer the latter!’
The evening promises to bring laughs, tears and moments of saying, “Oh god yeah, that makes sense!” Affordable entertainment at a local community venue provided by an upfront and working class person-next-door. What more could you possibly ask for?
I look forward to seeing you there!
