The Red House Glass Cone lies in the heart of the Glass Quarter, Stourbridge. It was built around 1790 and used for the manufacture of glass until 1936. It is now one of only four cones left in the UK and one of the most complete glass cone sites in Europe. The cone itself is huge, reaching 100ft into the sky. In its 200 year old history the site has remained virtually unaltered and therefore provides a fascinating insight into the history and tradition of glassmaking. We offer group discounts, a range of guided tours and glassblowing demonstrations.

The Cone structure has recently undergone restoration works and re opened October 2024. The hot glass blowing studio is currently closed for maintenance. The Museum, Visitor Centre and Craft Studios are open - please check independent studios for opening hours.
