The Odell Centre, formed in 1984 offers a wide range of social, leisure and recreational activities both on-site at the Odell Centre and also externally within the local community.

Based in Kidderminster for Adults who have a mild - moderate learning disability, mental health issue, physical disability, sensory impairment, autism, acquired brain injury (ABI) or who are classed as generally vulnerable individuals.

We offer 5 core projects:

  • Green Shoots - horticulture (we have 4 allotment plots)

  • Earth Crafts - bushcrafts, green rustic woodworking, celtic folk crafts.

  • Splinters - general woodcrafts

  • Odell Players - performing arts

  • Art Club - arts and crafts

General activities on offer include:

Yoga, zumba, kick-boxing, outdoor bowls, baking, golf, flower arranging, fishing, touch screen computers, needle crafts, nail art and beauty, curling, skittles, day trips, plus much more.

Cost Information:

Full day £60.00, Half day £30.00. Our day charges is the total cost of what you pay, inclusive of lunch. We do not charge extra for special activities or day trips we put on.

Notes:

A day activity centre for offering social, leisure and recreational activities for adults who have a mild - moderate level of a learning disability, mental health issue, physical disability, autism, acquired brain injury (ABI), sensory impairment or general vulnerability.

Eligibility Notes:

Individuals must be vulnerable adults (18+) and meet the FACS criteria for local authority funding - personal budgets. Self-funders also welcome. Vulnerable adults are those individuals who have a mild - moderate level of a learning disability, mental health issue, physical disability, autism, acquired brain injury (ABI), sensory impairment or are considered to be generally vulnerable. Referrals to service must be independent with toileting.

We are unable to cater for individuals who have severe or profound and multiple disabilities, or those individuals who display verbally or physically aggressive / challenging behaviour or those who display sexually disinhibited behaviour.

Referral Notes:

Please contact the office at the Odell Centre. Most referrals are made by social workers. However, those individuals who manage their own personal budget (have a financial appointee) known as a Direct Payment or those who are self-funders do not require a referral made by a social worker.
