22 October 2025. As part of Dudley History Festival we welcome Mary Bodfish with her talk titled Cavalier Dogs and Roundhead Rogues.
The world of the past has fascinated Mary from her earliest memories; and exploring it continues to absorb her in retirement. Sharing these discoveries via her talks has been a pleasure for Mary for over 30 years. The English Civil War brought much upheaval and damage to the area between Wolverhampton, Lichfield and Birmingham as people took sides and their forces engaged each other repeatedly. The voices of several of those involved shed light on a pivotal period of our history.
