Inspiring Change, One Story at a Time

Lisa M Billingham is an author, inspirational speaker, learning and development facilitator and workshop leader.

She discovered her passion for writing in 2020 and went on to write her debut novel, 'Katie, A New Chapter', inspired by her own life experiences - a book that went on to save a life.

Since then, Lisa has continued to write for both adult and younger audiences. Her first children’s book, 'Sedrick’s Adventures in Hopeland', was published in 2024, bringing imagination, warmth, and meaningful storytelling to young readers.

Based in the West Midlands, Lisa is passionate about sharing stories that inspire hope, healing, and positive change, bringing love and light to all those she reaches. She also has an uncanny skill in getting people to open up and share their experiences.

Looking for an engaging children’s author visit or school workshop that encourages reading, creativity, and emotional growth?

I offer interactive author visits and literacy workshops for primary schools, libraries, and learning groups, using my published children’s books to inspire imagination, empathy, and a love of storytelling.

Suitable for KS1 and KS2, sessions are tailored to age group, curriculum focus, and school needs. Supporting wellbeing, confidence, and self-expression through structured creative writing

***The workbook to accompany workshops and the online video course is out now***

The Healing Through Creative Writing workshops offer a practical, inclusive approach to wellbeing and personal development using guided creative writing exercises. They provide a safe, non-judgemental space for participants to reflect, express themselves, and build confidence - with no previous writing experience required.

These workshops are suitable for corporate organisations, prisons and rehabilitation settings, and educational establishments, and can be adapted to meet the needs of different groups and environments. For those who prefer to work alone, the video course is available here.
