6-10 May 2025. Friends of Dudley Archives and Local History service invite you to join in the celebrations for VE Day 80th anniversary. An exhibition will be open to the public with volunteers on hand to provide help and further information.
There will be a talk by Lin Gilbert 'The Secret Story of the American Soldiers Stationed in Dudley' on Wednesday 7 May at 2.00pm.
A celebration party will take place on Saturday 10 May 10.30am-3.00pm, with singing by The Singing for Fun Group from Kingswinford U3A 11.00am-12.00noon, followed by wartime music on the accordion, American GI re-enactors, and a VE Day street party with authentic wartime ration food.
1940's dress optional, but try to wear red, white and blue.
