We are a friendly society putting on plays twice a year (March/April and November). This year we are celebrating our 75th Anniversary. If you think you would like to join us either as an acting member, or helping behind the scenes please contact us, we would love to chat to you and tell you more. We help to promote theatre. We are open to members from age 14 on but we are principally an adult society.
Our next production in November 2023 is "Gaslight" written by Patrick Hamilton.. This classic Victorian thriller was first produced in 1935. Jack Manningham is slowly, deliberately driving his wife, Bella, insane. He has almost succeeded when help arrives in the form of a former detective, Rough, who believes Manningham to be a thief and murderer. Aided by Bella, Rough proves Manningham's true identify and finally Bella achieves a few moments of sweet revenge for the suffering inflicted on her. This play is the origin of the expression "gaslighting". Production dates: 21st, 22nd ,24th, 25th November, 2023 at Amblecote Holy Trinity Church Hall. It's a great hobby working together for a few weeks twice a year, with social events (and the occasional visit to the pub after rehearsal/set building!) to enjoy.
With the benefit of generous donations from supporters we have been able to install new stage lighting and sound equipment which was used for the first time for "A Lady in the Van" in November 2019.

Open Auditions for Gaslight pre audition - Tuesday 4th July, auditions 11th July Norton Community Centre, DY8 3AP 7.30pm.
We need new members in all departments: Acting, building sets, props, front-of-house.
Eligibility Notes:
Over 14 years old but we are principally an adult society and have no special focus on activities for young persons.
