Have ever wanted to learn to sew but find the sewing machine a little bit daunting. Do you feel a little in the dark about where to start, or have you returned to sewing and feel like you need a refresher?
Then why not join our new course due to start in the Autumn term.
If you have never used a sewing machine, our Tutor, Chris will take you step by step through everything you need to know to become sewing machine confident.
Throughout the first term you will learn how to join fabric accurately, make a dart for a garment, insert a zip neatly, attach a facing suitable for a waistband or neck edge, how to make buttonholes and hem garments by hand and machine.
You will explore the various brands and styles of dress making patterns that are available to enable you to make your first garment - all in 6 weeks. Our tutor will supply you with some sample fabrics for you to try out with the sewing and over locker machines provided in the classroom.
The course is run in a very relaxed manor and is suitable for all. Customers who have attended previous classes have always felt a great sense of achievement with their completed samples, nothing can beat the feeling of being complimented on something your have made for yourself. So why not give it a try?
