Albion Street Church - New Friends, Friendship Group
Self Help/Support Groups
Organiser:
Barbara Simmonds
Address:
Albion Street Church, Albion Street, BRIERLEY HILL, West Midlands, DY5 3EE
The purpose of New Friends is to bring hope through friendship to isolated people who would not normally venture out on their own.
We are a self-help group for people suffering from disablement, loneliness, isolation, depression and anxiety. We encourage each other to develop new friendships and to venture out socially on Group events. We strive to improve peoples confidence and self-esteem, through social recreation, educational activities, and social activities e.g. pastimes like quizzes and games as chosen by the members.
We meet in the lounge at the rear of Albion Street Church.
