Preparing For Adulthood - What does it means for parent carers?
Dudley Disability Service and the Carers Hub would like to invite parent carers of young people aged 14 – 25 years to an engagement session to explore what ‘Preparing for Adulthood’ means to them.
This is an opportunity for parent carers to:
• share their concerns and challenges during this period
• understand more about how moving to Adult Services may impact them as a parent carer
• find out about their rights and support available as a carer
We would like to understand:
• What challenges do you find in negotiating the transition pathway, what are your fears and is there anything you do not understand.
• What do you need that would make the transition smoother and how can we provide that i.e. social care, people, services, community etc.
Thursday 15th June 2023, 10am – 12pm
Brett Young Carers hub, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, B63 3TB
