The Scams Unit is part of Trading Standards at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. We offer support to those who have experienced problems with scams or have experienced financial loss as a result of a scam. We aim to raise awareness about scams and reduce the risk of this form of financial abuse. You are welcome to contact us if you or someone you know has experienced problems with scams. We can give you support regarding various scams such as phone calls, text messages, postal, online and bogus callers or rogue traders at your door.
We also deliver 'Scam Awareness' talks to community groups who would like to learn more about how they can keep themselves safe from scams.
The Scams Unit are currently loaning out free call blockers to help manage scam phone calls to landlines. To find out more about this free service, please contact us on the 01384 818871
