King George V Park - Wordsley

King George V Wordsley Park in Dudley has royal connections, part of the park is an independent charity and registered as King George Field, forming part of the National memorial to his late Majesty King George V, and a critical part of the conditions for this is that the land is to be preserved for public recreation.

At the main entrance located opposite Barnett Lane, the parks ornate gates display Heraldic panels which inform everyone of the existence of King George's Field, the right panel depicting a unicorn and the left a lion.

Facilities include;

  • tennis courts,
  • multi use games area,
  • football pitches available to book which include 5 a side pitches,
  • childrens play area,
  • large areas of flat managed grass,
  • managed pathways.
