A social club for adults with learning disabilities. Two hours of fun and a chance to meet new friends.
The evening is split into two. The first hour is games and activities to include pool, table top games like frustration, snakes and ladders, magnetic darts, Jenga, dominoes, connect 4, jigsaw puzzles etc plus art/craft activities for all levels of skill according to each season eg. Christmas, Valentine's Day etc. We also have a tuck shop and a fun raffle. At 8.00pm, we pack away, celebrate birthdays, draw the raffle and dance the rest of the hour away to a fantastic disco with our resident DJ's. For those that want something quieter we have a separate quiet room where members can enjoy chatting to friends whilst playing board games, colouring or doing a jigsaw etc.
Some weeks we have different activities such as themed evenings such as X- Factor, Karaoke, Halloween and Christmas disco and party and even nights out. We have been out in the past for curry nights, pizza, and a canal boat trip with fish and chips delivered the boat! We also have been known to enjoy fish and chips and pizza at club every now and then. Always very popular! There was also a fantastic celebration for King Charles's Coronation. Raffle prizes are varied and include seasonal prizes, sweet treats, stationery, art and craft sets, toiletry items, cuddly toys and many more!!!!
