24 October 2025. As part of Dudley History Festival we welcome John Homer with his talk titled “Avin a loff!” (Black Country Humour).
Quarry Bonker John Homer, poet, Black Country speaker and historian, presents a unique insight into the humour of the Black Country. A pot pourri of song, stories, anecdotes, and jokes which will make you laugh, cry, and celebrate this wonderful ‘bostin’ region where "yove gorra loff or yode cry".
