- Healthier lifestyle activities including local gardening, conservation and sports projects,
- life and social skills,
- team building activities,
- inclusion within the Dudley community,
- meeting friends and having fun,
- gaining fitness and self confidence
The Green Team offer support in gardening, grounds maintenance and a variety of other skills. We also enable our clients to be involved in valued conservation activities working in partnership on a variety of interesting Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust projects. We also support our clients to attend local swimming lessons, gym sessions, badminton, snooker, darts, fishing, volley ball, fitness classes and golf sessions. Green Team also discuss and plan with our clients a variety of other community recreational and educational trips and courses.
The Green Team is a service provider for adults with learning disabilities. We have over 60 years caring experience between us, working with the private and public sector with Green Team and we achieved and retained both the Silver and Gold, Dudley MBC Quality Marks. Green Team won the Dudley CVS Green Achievement Award in 2013 and we were proud to be runners up for the 2016 Mayors Pride of Dudley special award. We have an established valued partnership with Dudley Canal Trust and have excellent long standing working arrangements with many local sports and recreational establishments. We received recognition in 2018 for our community project work with Dudley Councils Make it Happen initiative. We also helped the Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust achieve the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. We are also proud of our teams charity fundraising efforts which have now raised over £14000 for Action Heart, Macmillan Cancer Support, Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust and Compton Hospice over our 10 years of existence.
