Friends of Lye and Wollescote Cemetery
We are a group of volunteers formed 4 years ago called The Friends of Lye and Wollescote cemetery.Our aim is to keep the cemetery space looking well kept and tidy for the benefit of all visitors to enjoy a peaceful moment whilst visiting a loved one's grave or just to have a stroll in beautiful surroundings.
We are also a fund raising group, with the aim of renovating and upkeeping many of the dilapidated Victorian graves.
We meet on the 1st Saturday of the month for a few hours to carry out any work that needs doing, such as weeding, cutting back ivy, holly etc. and clearing pathways for easier access to graves.
Anyone interested in joining us is very welcome. Just turn up on the day and bring a pair of gloves, all other tools are available.
