Dudley Young Carers (DYC)

Carers Support

Dudley Young Carers (DYC) provide a wellbeing service to young carers (those up to the age of 18) throughout the Dudley borough via our Dudley Carers Wellbeing Service.

DYC offer a supportive service to those whose lives are affected by caring for a family member who has a disability or long-term illness, including mental ill health, drug or alcohol related illness and/or a learning disability.

Caring for a loved one can be challenging; physically, emotionally or both. Our integrated wellbeing service identifies and prioritises the needs of young carers across Dudley, providing them with access to support and services tailored to their individual needs to enable them to live their own lives healthily.

Following a Carers Assessment, our Dudley Young Carers team can provide -

  •  Free, confidential, one-to-one support with a dedicated worker
  •  Information and advice
  •  Opportunity to join a Young Carers Group/Youth Club
  •  Signposting and referral to other agencies who can offer support
