Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust is a unique attraction in the West Midlands, offering visitors an extraordinary journey through 428 million years of history. Located in Dudley, this historic site features underground canal routes and caverns that were integral to the region's industrial past, navigable via narrowboat. Our tours run regularly, and include a commentary from a knowledgeable skipper.
Every Thursday morning we run our Chit Chat befriending group. This initiative provides a welcoming space for individuals to connect and socialise, fostering a sense of community and support. There's no commitment or cost, just friendly faces and a free hot drink.
On Wednesdays at 10am, we run our Tunnel Tots boats. These are a fantastic community initiative designed for young children and their families. At just £2.00, it ensures that everyone can participate in fun and educational activities, making it accessible to all. This includes a 20 minute boat trip complete with stories and nursery rhymes, and there's colouring and puzzles afterward.
The Gongoozler Cafe Restaurant is a cosy café offers a warm and inviting space for visitors to relax and enjoy refreshments. It's the perfect spot to unwind and watch the boats go by.
We are dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging experiences for all visitors, making us a cherished part of the community.
