Dudley Adult Carers Wellbeing Service

Carers Support

Dudley Adult Carers provide a wellbeing and support service to adult carers (aged 18 and over) throughout the Dudley borough via our Dudley Carers Wellbeing Service.

Our Dudley Adult Carers team offer a supportive service to those whose lives are affected by caring for a family member who has a disability or long-term illness, including mental ill health, drug or alcohol related illness and/or a learning disability.

Caring for a loved one can be challenging; physically, emotionally or both. Our integrated wellbeing service identifies and prioritises the needs of adult carers across Dudley, providing them with access to support and services tailored to their individual needs to enable them to live their own lives healthily.

Following a Carers Assessment, the Dudley Adult Carers team can provide -

  • Free, confidential, one-to-one support with a dedicated worker
  • Home visits
  • Information and advice (including benefits advice)
  • Signposting and referral to other agencies who can offer support
  • Training sessions and workshops
  • Emotional support through counselling
  • Support and help with transitions to college/university or employment
  • Carer Groups
