Dementia Support Group online via Zoom

Dementia Support Group online via Zoom

Carers Support

A very valuable service for those who use it. A great addiction to attending face to face groups, or when you find it hard to get out of the house. With an online group, we can discuss whatever issues you have arising and you have the benefit of talking to at least half a dozen other people at the same time.

Most people who come on also attend other groups. The attendees have made you new friends and the fact the group is weekly, it has become a big part of their support network. Please don't be scared to give it a try.

Notes

Notes:

A support group for people living at home with dementia and their family/friends/carers. An informal and friendly weekly meeting to discuss issues and share trials and triumphs while living with dementia. We aim to support each other and also uplift each other. Around 10 people attend each session, many come every week unless they are away and have found it a great source of comfort.

We use Zoom to meet up, which is simple to use and we can help you with it if you are new to it. You need a device that connects to the internet, though phones aren't the best way to join, an ipad, computer or laptop are best. You are sent the weekly link in an email.

Eligibility Notes:

Having a diagnosis of dementia or caring for someone living with dementia.
