What is the service and who can access it?

Citizens Advice  can support you as a Dudley Borough resident to make a new claim for Universal Credit, from opening your account to receiving your first full and correct payment. You can be referred to us for support by the Job Centre, Local Authority, other agencies who identify a need for help or refer yourself.

How can this service be accessed?

CALL:  National Citizens Advice on 0800 144 8444 between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday

Ask for a translator if you need to get advice in a different language. 

Relay UK - if you can't hear or speak on the phone, you can type what you want to say: 18001 then 0800 144 8 444.

Chat on line: You can also chat with an adviser online about your Universal Credit application. Chat is usually available 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. It's not available on public holidays. If you can’t see a chat button, it means no advisers are available. Try again later or call our phone line.
