Choose2Change is a behaviour change programme designed to help people stop using harmful behaviours in their intimate relationships.

We offer a 23-week group programme and an 11-week one-to-one programme. Partners of those on the programme will also receive partner safety work.

Given the prevalence of domestic abuse in our local area, there are currently a lack of effective non-statutory behaviour change programmes, especially those with a self-referral pathway. In line with local Domestic Abuse Strategies, we have completed significant research on service provision in the West Midlands and have recognised that there is limited support available, and most of the current support focuses on high risk perpetrators. At Relate, we are committed to closing this gap in service provision, ensuring those who harm are held to account whilst provided an opportunity for change.

Our launch has two referral pathways; self-referrals for those who may recognise their own behaviour and want support, or agency-referrals where professionals involved with a family/couple can fund the programme on behalf of the individual.

If you would like any more information, or would like to refer either yourself or someone you are working with (with their consent) please do not hesitate to contact us on c2c@relatebirmingham.co.uk or on 0121 633 5526.
