The Seniors 6.5 lunch club meets monthly on a Monday.
For the over 65's it provides a time to get out, meet others, and have a chat with sociable company over a fresh meal cooked on the premises. It helps to reduce social isolation, and provides time with old friends and make new ones.
The next few dates for 2025 are:
19 May
16 June
21 July
18 August
Small £5 charge for meal, but no extra charges. Diners gather together from 12.30pm onwards for the meal at 1.00pm.
At the moment we cannot provide transport. Carers who identify someone who could benefit should phone Julia Lea - Coordinator.
The co-ordinator will then talk to referrals, to ascertain dietary requirements, and generally discuss the meal.
At the meal you will be greeted and introduced to the other diners, many of whom are local and you may already know.
We look forward to seeing you.
Carers are invited to ring the co-ordinator to discuss a persons need, with discretion.
Volunteers are DBS vetted.
