Antenatal Yoga and Childbirth Preparation
Keeping Well
The classes involve simple yoga postures and practices specifically adapted for pregnant women. Through these practices we aim to:
- maintain and develop physical strength, stamina and flexibility to support your body during pregnancy and the birthing process,
- help mums-to-be to move safely and easily,
- nurture the mum-to-be and her growing baby through simple breathing and relaxation exercises,
- prepare the mind and body for the birthing process and enable mums-to-be to feel comfortable and supported to share experiences and concerns with other mums-to-be (there is refreshment and social session at the end of the last class of each six week term).
