DRAFT Dudley Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) formal 60 day consultation
On behalf of the Dudley Health and Wellbeing Board, Dudley Council is now consulting on the draft Dudley PNA as part of a statutory 60-day consultation process where stakeholders will be able to have their say on this version before publication in the Autumn to the Dudley Health and Wellbeing Board website by completing an online questionnaire. Closing date for responses is 29 August 2022
The Dudley Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) is an appraisal of both the current and potential needs of the Dudley population in regards to community pharmacy provision and associated services. The PNA is designed to help in the commissioning of pharmaceutical services in the context of local priorities, and will be used by NHS England when making decisions on applications to open new pharmacies.
It is also used by the Health and Wellbeing Board to work with providers to target services to the areas where they are needed and limit duplication of services. PNAs are normally updated every three years and Supplementary Statements are released between updates if required. Its publication is a statutory duty of Dudley's Health and Wellbeing Board.
