Children's Community Healthcare Services
We have a number of specialist health services for children and young people (aged 0-18) to ensure their physical, medical, emotional and mental health needs are met.
Black Country Health Care NHS Foundation Trust specialist learning disability and community healthcare services for children, young people and families in the Dudley borough. There are a number of specialist Community Healthcare Services provided for children and young people up to 18 years of age.
Palliative Care - Children's Community Nursing Team
We support children and young people (0-18), and their families/carers, who have life limiting conditions/complex healthcare needs and children with long term health conditions.
Haemoglobinopathy Service
Supports children and young people registered with a Dudley GP who have been diagnosed with a Haemoglobinopathy disorder such as Sickle Cell Disease or Beta Thalassaemia Major.
Speech and Language Therapy
We provide assessment, diagnosis support and therapy for children and young people (up to age 19) with communication difficulties and/or difficulties with feeding/swallowing.
We also provide training and support for the healthcare workforce to enable them to support the child/young person within their own home and educational settings.
Speech and Language Therapy is Provided through the Black Country Health Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational therapy service is for children and young people aged 0-18 with physical, perceptual or sensory difficulty which affect their everyday life. We provide a range of services to help them remain independent and improve quality of life.
Children's Continence Service
Based in Brierley Hill and offering clinics in Sedgley, Stourbridge and Dudley providing support for parents and carers. Our specialised continence nurses work closely with school nurses and GP's to support you and your child.
Children's Physiotherapy Service
Here to help children and young people from 0-19 years old with a range of conditions including: orthopaedic anomalies, mild developmental delay, and complex neurological/neuromuscular conditions including Cerebral Palsy and children with complex healthcare needs.
We recognise the importance of working in partnership with you and your child to maximise their independence and physical ability, improving their quality of life.
Audiology Service
The Dudley Audiology Service provides hearing tests, assessments and therapy for all across the Dudley borough.
