Break Away - Lunch and Social Activity Club for Older People

Break Away - Lunch and Social Activity Club for Older People

Break Away is a new opportunity for older people to meet new friends, enjoy a two course lunch and refreshments throughout the day, as well as joining in with social activities.

It is a Break Away for people from the social isolation and loneliness that many older people face to day. Break Away is also intended to give carers a break from some of their commitments or just to have some time to themselves.

At Break Away we also understand that people often want to do things together so there is also the option for carers to come to the club as well.

We have a Thursday morning exercise class at 10.00am which is also open to members of the public and an afternoon exercise classes at 1.30pm. The classes are fun and can cater for differing abilities with exercise to music from different decades. People who attend just the exercise class and not the lunch club only pay £5.00 which also includes refreshments

Break Away is able to continue through Covid-19 restrictions as we are a support and respite service.

Half day sessions are now also available between 9.00am-1.00pm inclusive of lunch for those that prefer a shorter day. A half day session includes lunch and morning refreshments.

People with dementia are most welcome.
